The Art of the Repair
The MA Living story began in 1975 when Mohammed Akbar arrived in Yorkshire. By day, he worked as a yarn-spinner; by night, in the quiet of his home cellar, he meticulously repaired and recovered three-piece suites.
Mohammed’s obsession with the "perfect stitch" revealed a gap in the market for high-quality, handcrafted headboards. Alongside his wife Seema, he transformed a labor of love into a dedicated manufacturing force that now serves the UK's most discerning trade clients.
